Help me find a boss, plz? I'll describe what she looks like.

Help me a bit. I've met a boss and I can't find her again after dying at her hands. Now I'm obsessed with finding her. Can you read the description of her and tell me what her name is or where she can be found?

Description: She's a boss that looks like a mist woman. Transparent, hovering above the ground. She shoots ice spikes almost like Krosis. She fights like Krosis too. Stay far away and keeps barraging me with those ice spike. Her arena looks like a flat stone circle, with four or five pillars standing around. She has some sort of minions too. Like ice wraith thing or maybe ice ball/mines that track targets, if I remember correctly.

Location: In the wild, somewhere in the mountain no where near the main path. I remember that the location is not so high up it always snows. The area is green, I think. I found her in a mountain range east of Markarth, somewhere north of Lover Stone, west of the Shrine of Peryite. There are several peaks lining a cliff overlooking south. It's the cliff where Karthwasten is located on. She's in that same range. She's somewhere down the slope of the north side.

Edit: OK, so she's random, but at fixed location. But can anyone tell me where that altar/arena is? I can't find it again.

Please. Help me find her. I found her by accident, but I know she's important. (Or I desperately want a revenge.)

You're looking for a Wisp Mother. They are just randomly spawned and quite rare (as are will-o-the-wisps), so good luck finding one. I've only seen 3 the entire 100+ hours I've put into the game.

I think those aren't really bosses. I was fighting one and then 2 more came and I had no chance against them at that time. Had to reload and take a different way...

Yeah, it is a Wispmother, there are a few out in 'random' (but fixed) unmarked locations in the wild, they summon some minion similar to ice wraiths, yes that one is east of markarth and northwest of the lover stone

there are probably some in indoor places but i havent run into one yet , the one you are describing is closest to the stone, in a small clearing near an altar

I have about 90 hours of game and only found 2 wisp-mothers... I died on the first one, and ran for my life on the second almost dead, I would die for sure if I kept trying to fight....

Hopefully on the third encounter I'll trap her soul.

The skills your train while killing her and some ingredients u can use in alchemy, never had them drop an item.

They can be found in Blackreach, which is probably far easier for people to point you to than this unnamed, unmarked alter.

I had one spawn prior to reaching Orphan Rocks (northish of Helgen) on the Blessings of Nature quest (where you are sent to retrieve Nettlebane from the hags). That quest is given in the Temple in Whiterun.

My first encounter was next to Helgen - Riverwood.... Right after I left the tutorial I ran around doing random stuff and found her


My second was on my way to that city next to High Hrothgar...on a hill, somewhat close to the river

Sounds like The Staff of Magnus quest (given at the mage collage) at Labyrinthian is where you probably found her, and can again.

If windhelm were a clock, it'd be at 1 or 2 o'clock outside the city.

My memory is failing me, but I think one is there.

Yea I know that one from a previous encounter if I can find the spot I'll get back, plus there is another one that always spawns up behind the tower where you help a Daughter kill her Witch Mother. The Tower name has slipped from my memory but the two times I've been there a Wisp Mother was at an old Dwarven ruin if you go through the back entrance and wander off to the left. When I re-find that one I'll give a clue to that location as well.

Do a Wiki (if your desperate) maybe it gives Wisp Locations.

PS: O/K rememberred the Tower name, clue first? The name is like NightDay or what you would think the difference is. The Daughter can become a follower and you do need to explore out into the wilds through the back gate.

I've seen 3 of them.

One near Helgen, one over the ice pack along (right side of) the road to the mages college/forgot that town's name (coming from Windhelm); and can't remember where I saw number 3.

But yeah, they pack quite a wallop. Got killed by 2, barely beat the third one.

I came across on of these infernal things and her demon spawn as I exited a bandit tower across the river and up the mountain from Riverwood very early on. I was popsicled to death without even seeing the mother.

Although, having said that, they could have been Frost Wraiths... But there was a large, blue glow in the distance with three little ones circling round and they came straight for me. A bit stiff for a 5th level character.

The main Winterhold quest eventually leads you to a Wisp Mother and 3 minions.

If you're stuck on how to kill those murderous Mothers, I've found a way that works every time - just ask :)

I've found wispmothers between Winterhold and Windhelm on the eastern shore path, a couple of different locations. Also in Darklight Tower. And randomly in various groves in forested or mountaintop areas, sometimes around Falkreath. I'm level 60+ and now can kill them and their wisp maiden kids but at lower levels they're hard to kill. You get wisp wrappings from their exploded dead selves which can be used in alchemy. There's also an inside green grovey place Frostmere Crypt where you can win the Pale Blade from her. Hint: If you see her wisps whipping around you, go straight at her and kill her first. She'll separate into a few less powerful wispmothers and keep backing away but keep attacking her. Once she's dead, the rest are easier to kill.
