I followed this guide http://♥♥♥.servicez.org/steam/install.html to get a cstrike 1.6 server on my linux machine but when I try and run it, it says this

-bash-2.05b$ ./hlds_run -game cstrike +map de_dust -autoupdate -username v***** -password v******
Auto detecting CPU
Using AMD-Opteron (64 bit) Optimised binary.
Auto-restarting the server on crash
Updating server using Steam.
Checking bootstrapper version ...
Updating Installation
No username supplied or previously set
Sun Jan 9 05:02:59 EST 2005: Steam Update failed, ignoring.
./hlds_run: line 359: ./hlds_amd64: cannot execute binary file
Add "-debug" to the ./hlds_run command line to generate a debug.log to help with solving this problem
Sun Jan 9 05:02:59 EST 2005: Server restart in 10 seconds

I am running a dual Opteron server with Red Hat 9 kernal
2.4.20-021stab022.8.777-enterprise
I have root access to the server and Cpanel

Please help!

First of all you posted this in the wrong forum.

Second, hlds_run is detecting your cpu as an AMD64, which is fine however it is assuming that you are running a amd64 kernel and userspace...which you are not since it's RedHat 9. You therefor need to specify the correct binary like ./hlds_run -binary ./hlds_amd -game cstrike ...etc.
