Steam Cloud deleted my saves!

2 Days ago I decided to take my laptop with me to my parents for thanksgiving and downloaded Arkham City to play while on the go. Now Steam Cloud worked its magic and I could play my previous saves from my desktop on my laptop and all was well and everything until I came back home, started up Arkham City again and my saves on desktop are now gone. I checked back on my laptop, it "synched" again and now those are gone too. I'm at a loss here I have no idea how to fix this problem. Help?

Propably has something to do with GFWL and steam cloud not working properly with each other... Your saves are propably gone forever.

Same thing happened to me twice, and a lot of other people. No one has addressed the problem in spite of a ton of complaints. They have addressed the dx11 issue, though, which leads many to believe they'll continue to ignore the save file problem on PC.
