has anyone been able to get steam / hlds working in open? im running into problems just trying to get the update tool to run through. if anyone can point me to some info, or has any suggestions, please reply.

There are quite a few posts in this form for BSD users. Many of them have had problems but as far as I know it can be made to work with an acceptable amount of effort.

oh ive been searching :) here and in the srcds forums. there seems to be a lot of info for freebsd, but nothing specific to open. in general though, it looks like a lot of people are having trouble. if anyone who has a working stable server running in any of the bsd's, please post a guide for us struggling :)
