Cossacks: European Wars - Mouse doesn't work

Hi,

When I launch this game the mouse doesn't work, if I alt-tab ... the mouse works fine, but I cannot even use the menu options because the cursor doesn't move at all :(

Any advice?

Just came to report this as well. It seems to respond for the first second or so, if i move the mouse around when it is starting up, it does twitch from center to somewhere else, but after that it freezes. Can hear the music playing without issues.

Will try to run it with the other graphics card later, and will try an external mouse.

My configuration is Alienware M11X with I5-2537 4gb ram and tried running it with the intergrated intel card.

Will try messing with settings or something later. Hopefully will get it to work as trying to play it without a mouse is infinitely more difficult to play as i can't even start it.

would be nice to get some suggestions on what to try to remedy this...? It doesn't work with either intergrated or nvidia GPU, or with USB mouse or touchpad... I always loved the series, but i am starting to regret my purchase... :/

Unfortunately, it has more chance that GSC won't fix problems with their games anymore than they will. Because they're closing :(
