I tried using 1.3 with a freshly downloaded copy of Call of Cthulhu, but unfortunately, nothing under "Player Settings" work. All the variables under that menu are blanked, and changing the FOV doesn't seem to work.

Extra info: I tried changing the FOV through the XML manually, and it still doesn't work.

Changing FieldOfVisionSneakMode DOES work, however, changing the value of FieldOfVision does not work at all. It's stuck on 55 all the time.

Which version are you using? Original, D2D or Steam?
Most of the settings should be disabled unless you use the original one as the exe cannot be modified on the others (I may have messed this up though!).
For the FOV from what I remember you may have to start a new game for it to take effect.
I'm looking at a way to change FOV through the game scripts instead for the downloadable versions.

I guess most likely you are using the Steam version as this is the steam forums...:)
Are you using the exe from the original though?

Using Steam's original exe, yeah

OK I'll take a look at the scripts in the next couple of days and see if I can add FOV changing to the patcher.

So, any news? Maybe you'll upload 1.2 version?

It appears to be being fixed to 55 in the sanity scripts due to the fact that they manipulate it for some of the sanity effects.
Not yet managed to get a change to the value to stick though.
Will hopefully have more time once xmas is over.
