The ship keeps crashing after the intro.

I do love this game alot and played it for many hours before. Now i wanted to reinstall the game and pick it up again since i never finished the game 100%.

The problem is everytime i try to start a new game in single player it gets a error messages saying the game has stop working. This happens after the intro.

Is the game broken or will there be a update?

I have Windows 7 64

Inter(R) Core (TM) i7 Cpu 3.33
24 gig byte ram.
Ati Readon HD 5900 Series.

i copy'd my mss32.dll file from C:/windows/system32/mss32.dll
and then placed it in C:/programfiles/steam/steamapps/"acc name"/the ship...

that got the game going with me
