Game Won't Activate

I purchased Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena and the activation process won't go through. I have entered the activation code it gave me, but it just won't connect to the server to activate and when I try to do it manually, it gives me a 404 error on the web site. Does anyone know a way to fix this?

have you guys actually downloaded the tages driver either 32bit or 64bit and ran them, first to uninstall the olde driver, then again to install the new?

I have tried installing the new drivers, buy it didn't help. I also tried someone's suggestion of opening port 1100 TCP and that didn't seem to work either. I'll try installing the drivers and let you know what happens.

Hmm, well, I updated the drivers again and it actually connected and went through this time. So thanks very much for the help.

This was the first problem I have had with any game on Steam, so I am not worried about it at all. I just hope some of the ♥♥♥♥ty DRM in some games goes away for good.

Hmm, well, I don't know if the drivers somehow did it this time or if their server was just down last night, but it successfully activated this time. So yay! And thanks for all the help.

I also could not get Max Payne 2 to run right.

I assume it is the drivers then.

I downloaded the 64 link but it still did not work.

What is another way I can update my drivers since I am a noob at this stuff?

It says invalid serial number.

I know my graph card is updated now.

I have never played the game before and I just bought it when steam had it's most recent deal for it.

What should I do?

I feel better now that I know it is not my graph card.

I will try again tomorrow.

My graph card works good now.Max Payne 2 did not work for months and I assumed that was why but was 2 lazy to update it but now it works again.

I got it to activate.

It would copy and paste the CD key without me doing anything but when I went over what it did one letter was wrong.

Do not assume it always does it right is the moral of the story.
