I played it long ago (prolly in 07 or 08) It's very good. May be buying this, since it seems to be an official english verison. (the one I played was a translated japanese one)

This game was officially translated by Carpe Fulgur. (The same guys who did translate Recettear and are currently translating Fortune Summoners). I don't know if there ever was a fan patch for Chantelise, but there was another official translation by a french compansy. However, the translation by the french company was not very good.
