So far I really enjoy it.
However its hard to get into it properly when:
A. Its really laggy (Its not my internet i get 10-30 ping on over game severs, e.g. when I refresh the steam ever browser. An yes Im on an EU sever because im in the EU). This could be down to an overload of new users..
B. Game crashes constantly saying, 'Out of Memory', im on a 32bit OS and it did come up with a message saying that it can only use 2.5gb of ram. (I Have 4gb, does anyone know how I can set it to use more?).
Otherwise can't wait to get back in! and the car music system is awesome!!

Welcome :)
Type /fps to see what your latency is, Im not having any latency problems.
And here:

So you can use 3gb of ram.

You're screwed unless you run Win7/64bit hardware. It runs better on Win7. G1 refuses to address the Out of Memory crash.
Off hand win-32 can use up to about 3.5 GB of your 4GB of RAM. One way to estimate it is take that 4GB and subtract the memory size of your video card. Note, that's only a rough estimate.

Right, thanks PwettyPony- however that thing didn't really help. Explorer now crashes when I open control panel, and my pc took a bit longer to boot up :s
trent, im using Win7 :/
Thanks for the info though.
Edit:
I found this little program (http://www.unawave.de/windows-7-tipps/32-bit-ram-barrier.html?lang=EN) that unlocks the ram cap to 64gb. Obviously don't use it, ♥♥♥♥ up your pc and blame me.

Yeah I'm having massive lag too. Otherwise, I'm glad to see the matchmaking has been improved to have more players in a team, and the game seems quite active right now.

G1 refuses to address the Out of Memory crash.
They've been working on it. To say that they "refuse" to address it is like telling a doctor he refuses to fix a complex medical problem. It is an issue, and it's by no means an easy fix unless you simply want LoD textures and even shorter render distances. The maps themselves were reported to be at least 2GB in size.
That said, I believe APB Reloaded is Large Address Aware. While in-game it may report only 2.5, it's also dumping RAM into other processes as well as generating a folder for cached content. Make sure you aren't reading or writing to disk on top of playing APB.

Why do you choose to shovel their ♥♥♥♥ for them when you don't get paid to do so?
G1 says they're working on everything. In reality, they haven't done much. I have closely followed this game and I have not seen them post anything that made me feel they were seriously addressing the OOM crash. Have any links?

I have 4gb ram on a 64bit OS, I used to have 2gb until about 6 months ago. and I've never gotten this out of memory error.
Basically my PC is quite old and it runs the game fine.

4gb ram

They since reduced memory footprints by reducing texture quality across the board. (Sucks for people that did have enough RAM, but whatever). They generated the Fight Club districts that were for people that did have less RAM to help with performance and stability.
If you've been following this closely, you'd have a much clearer picture about how Reloaded Productions (not GamersFirst) has been working on APB Reloaded. Is it perfectly stable for x86 systems? Absolutely not, but it's better than it was and they're still doing work on it.
Even then, if you're a heavy game player, I'm not sure why you AREN'T on x64 yet.

There's one thing i don't understand. Cops can arrest you ( biggest cheat ever ) but what can bandits do?

Making an arrest is actually quite difficult. You have to disable the person and then walk up to them and cuff them. I don't really find it all that fun TBH.
What can criminals do, well criminals commit crimes. You can mug people, loot store fronts and make money. The cops can 'witness' you can start a mini-mission where they chase you for your money and take it back to their goal spot, while you try to take it to your goal spot.
FYI: when you commit a crime a little badge shows up next to your radar, as long as that badge is there you can be witnessed and arrested.

Reduced mem footprint: Did not effect OOM at all. Add it to the list of G1 fails.
Fight Club: I highly doubt FC was created with low mem players in mind: They just used the smaller size of FC as a way of saying "if you play this you might not notice the OOM issue even though we haven't touched the root cause"
G1/Reloaded: Who the heck cares about the organizational structure of their business? It's just standard to refer to them as G1, because that's who signs their pay checks (well, actually it might be K2 Networks). I don't get your point though.
x64: I have needs where I still need win XP. And if XP-32 is an issue with APB, they they should stop listing XP in their system requirements.

Nothing in that aspect. Welcome to APB.
Crims used to be able to ram raid ships and steal/turn in cars. Heck you still can. But now getting witnessed with more than $1500 on you severely put the kibosh on that and not as many do it.

Yeah it was fun looting on empty districts back when the game first reloaded. lol.. I must have made over a million dollars. Now you have to do it in groups and somehow split the profit. Probably want to do it with friends because crims can double cross crims.

Making an arrest is actually quite difficult.
I've been arrest many times and when they do it's always the same player from the other team. Shooting with stun/smoke nades i think. I hate it when it happens, going to try the cops side but i played 18h those 2 lats days and i hope i did not loose my time here

There were plans for a Crim ltl-like weapon system, however that went down along with RTW.

I still don't get why they can't give crims a knife for backstabbing which produces a similar effect as stunning to balance the once sided LTL.
However if they did that crims probably wouldn't get opposition because the main reason ppl play enforcer is because it has something unique (LTL). Put crim vs enforcers on a balanced playing field and most go crim.

On LTL: its not all its cracked up to be. Pretend every time your arrested the enforcer waits until the last moment that you have to be arrested. Mathematically they only took 4-5 seconds away from you. All LTL guns have ~1-2 second time to stuns, compared to lethal counterparts that are .65-.8 second time to kills.
The problem with LTL is its not 'fun' for criminals(i personally don't mind it, but then i'm an LTLer on my enforcer). G1 knows this and have plans to completely revamp the system of stunning and arresting to something totally different. They have yet to even leak rumors to how that would work, but they said they won't be making any tweaks to this one since it would be a waste of time.

LTL is ignored for the most part. It's difficult to use and the payoff isn't that great. Lethal does a much better job.
