Body armor

First off: Does it do anything?
Second: I SPENT LIKE 8 OF MY 18 HOURS PLAYED DOING THE PROGRESS LINE FOR BODY ARMOR AND EAR PIECES AND NOW THEY APPEAR TO HAVE VANISHED FROM EXISTENCE. WHY.

I've checked my mail, NPCs in all 3 districts, the NPC who unlocks it for you, my locker and even the armas marketplace. It's gone.

Wat do?

1) Any form of 'bulletproof vests' you see in the wardrobe kiosk is aesthetic only. You will not have any increased health or increased resistance to bullets. The only way to achieve this effect would be to apply Kevlar Implants 1-3, a character mod. However, Kevlar Implants will also hinder your movement speed and acceleration.

2) Did you buy the items? Also, when it comes to clothing, it's much more convenient to go to a wardrobe kiosk in the Social District to buy and edit clothing. Bulletproof vests fall under Tops, I believe. If not, then it's under Webbing.

There is a category named Armor where it is found before you unlock it.

Join the Social District, there you can customize your characters outfit and buy clothes that you have unlocked via progression. Go to the blue/violet booth with the T-shirt logo on it to access said service.

Unlocking an item doesn't automatically make it appear in your inventory....your inventory would be insanely big if every unlocked item appeared there.

Once you have unlocked an item it disappears from the contact line.

Any items you have unlocked can be purchased in the kiosks for that specific item.

So in this case - Go to the clothing editor in social, hit "Add New Item" find the Body Armour and hit purchase. Then go "Back to your clothes" where you can wear/customise the item.
