sv_downloadurl help

hello, i am having trouble with my custom mp3 im trying to make clients download.

my .res file looks like this:
"resources"
{
"sound/music/rockyou.mp3" "file"
}

my server.cfg is:
sv_downloadurl http://www.blah.com/Server/

within /Server/ are /maps/ & /sound/music/

all files are in the right place, yet the clients are still NOT downloading the MP3... why?

I can't browse that url.

You need to append that to the res file for every map, for the standard cs maps you need to create one for each.

that is an example address, my server is 24/7 Dust2 so I dont need it on every map.

The download fails when connecting to my server.

What map did you link to the .res? Having a .res and a file by no way means it will DL. What calls the .res? You must tie it to a map for it to be called.

Anyways, i fixed the problem. going to post another thread for a diff problem :)

I think it was me, not placing the .res in the webserver.

We're human so we're bound to make mistakes but I'm glad you got it working, another server that's helping to expand the CS:S community :)

:) we are actually full all the time, we (the clan) have had this server up since nov. so our 16 slot pub is very popular.
