will my key expire ?

Hi guys, one question.
If I have just recieved a Key from Steam, but I don't want to use it right now becouse I'm leaving for a couple of days, will it expire after 19 of December ? I'm asking becouse I would rather play just 4 days on premium (before I leave on X-mas) than just lose it whole.
