I crafted a bunch of potions thinking 'OK I won't use these things but I should be able to sell them for game money (just like good old Oblivion)' but you know what? there are very few vendors that can afford to pay you 1000+ for a single potion and I had about 15-20 of the blasted things:confused:.
I eventually sold 1 or 2 to a Theives Guild fence and stashed the rest in a barrel outside Proudspire Manor in Solitude hoping that when the game gets around to refreshing the barrel contents they will be gone - good riddance to unsellable stuff. Salutory lesson about crafting potions -- keep them inside a reasonable price range if you plan on using them for money i.e. only 2 reagent potions and common ones at that.
