I was sitting through the credits as I just finished the game today and was very pleased with it.

But, wow, this game had 15 programmers? Seems a little excessive in comparison to the 2 - 3 programmers most indie games have these days. Obviously it was very polished and I found no bugs whatsoever, but daayuum.

Well keep in mind that it's not written what each programmer's job was.

The game is available for Windows, Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3. I think it's fair to say that this alone occupies three programmers. Perhaps two programmers for the PLAYSTATION 3, judging from all the tales about the PS3 being a hard-♥♥♥ system to work with. Then you might have a programmer for the physics, character animation, the tools, Steamworks integration, etc... :)

Personally to me thet amount of staff does not matter at all.

What matters is the game & the price point.
And to me the game was definetly worth the money.
I do hope they will make another one.

Braid has more enginering and was made by only one guy (the programming), who also did the levels and the story. And it took him less time.
According to Valve, there's a 18-24 people team working on the Source Engine, and c'mon, Limbo's Engine is not better (harder to make) than Source Engine.

Hell, even I have made a C++ engine with more features than Limbo's in less time.
