Im buying a gaming laptop next month (please do not tell me a desktop is better(I already know this))

Im strongly leaning towards
Sager NP8130
560m graphics card
i5-2450M Processor
8gigs ddr3
500gig hdd

My main 2 games atm that Im strongly interested in is

Rift (ive played when it launched and loved it)
Star Wars Old Republic

How well would this laptop run these games?

Lastly my budget for a laptop is $1000 so Im seeking the best gaming laptop i can for that price.

i think that's the best laptop for $1000. didn't find anything better on newegg or tigerdirect.

Any ideas as to what kind of settings/performance I can expect with rift and star wars old republic?

Since i haven't play those 2 games b4 and i haven't seen any benchmarks for those games, idk.

I'd guess you'd be able to play most new games on med-high settings. Here's some good benchmarks for that card: http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-560M.48313.0.html.

Those 2 games aren't tested, but handing Crysis on High at 60fps is a good sign.

If you want to know what settings you can play at with a specific game on the hardware you have selected, visit the specific game area of the forum.

Im using an MSI unit with an I7 2670QM and a 560M, for star wars i disable shadows because they look rly bad in the game and the rest of the settings are maxed, im getting average 70-80 FPS.

I'd say you would be able to play current games on good settings but not on high and will get around 30-40 fps? Your laptopp might also get overheated.

GTX560M highest its gotten for me was 80C under furmark. games im playing on it are BF3, SWTOR, CSS, Far cry 2. and for the most part runs all games perfect. BF3 1920X1080 ultra no AA or HBAO runs 30-45FPS solid. Far cry 2 maxed no AA 60FPS
