So I am thinking of picking up the game again. I played it during the free week Steam held in the days of yore and I've always had an interest in the game since.. It was just a shame that there was an intense shortage of players.

I come back and find that Blazing Griffin went and picked it up. And I'm certainly hoping for the best now that the game is back in active hands! As I consider buying it, however, I must ask, how are the servers doing?

I know in this thread it's been said there've been a few full 32 player servers, but I also read in another that after the sale ended, the community dwindled. As long as there's at least two or three servers that I don't have to worry about emptying to nothing, I see no reason to mind much.

But how -are- things, now?

Servers were populated during the holidays, but now they're not, and even the two aussie servers I would play on are (understandably) now gone.

Definitely buy the game, but make a choice as to whether you want to buy it now or whether you want to wait until the next steam sale or free weekend which will get people playing again.

Though due to my budget (spending quite a bit for some other items apart from gaming) I'll probably wait for a sale to come around, then snag it before it ends. I suggest you look for a trade. The game is really good and I can highly recommend it. Portal 2 would easily get you it since people still have extra copies. Plus, last time I checked, there were more servers than the ones shown in that image.

I played 2 full servers tonight from 8:30 GMT with no bots
its still alive but it seems to be time dependant

Its coming back. I've joined up with some of my clan and we've put up a server for people to use and join in on.

I also have got bots on it but when a player joins a bot leaves its just to keep the server on the busy side plus its funny to watch the bots stand there ready to attack you.

I played yesterday and found 3 full servers. More than I expected to be honest, as I heard this game was nearly dead, but thought I'd give it a go anyways.

Don't like the 32 limit servers to be honest; way too crowded. Playing on the 10-12 servers is a blast, though :)
