Has anyone managed to use these apps with rusty hearts ?

Particularly joy2key would be awesome. I tried but none worked.

Rusty hearts natively supports the official 360 pad

The 360 controller emulator x360ce is used to emulate a non 360 controller in the application so you can configure the keys to your liking (as my right d-pad is all messed up in a lot of games I dunno why).

I think it has something to do with xtrap. I tried using xpadder which is similar to the apps you used and xtrap blocks it. Maybe it thinks it's a hacking program.
