The game beat me.

And here i thought i was beating the game!

Whenever i click 'continue game' it loads up for a second and then i get an error: Qube.exe has stopped working, i've tried this countless times and it keeps happening.

The most frustrating part is this probably means i'll have to re-do puzzles, some of which id ♥♥♥♥ing rather not.. does anyone have an idea why this is crashing, it's just before the puzzle with the cracked glass in sector 7..

You should be able to save the gamestate. Some files called:

UDKGame.ini
UDKEngine.ini


So you can back these files up and reinstall the game. Maybe.

Oh awesome, thanks.. its definitely worth a shot. It's a shame you cant select by puzzle, because if this is indeed broken.. i'll have to re-do two entire sectors, and if it happens again at the same point it'll all be a waste of time.. lol

Unfortunatley no dice.

Everything has been reset, despite backing up the entire game files.. sigh. This is where cheats would come in handy to get me back to where i was, really cant be ♥♥♥♥ed re-doing the entire game.

Edit:

It seems if you scroll down through UDKGame.ini to LevelUnlocked you can set the parameter from 0 to 1 for each sector, when you load the game you can continue from the last sector unlocked. This might be helpful for anyone whos lost progress due to crash's.

Sorry to hear that. This ought to work, at least the unlocked sectors should be available.

Yeah what happened was i backed up all the files and uninstalled/reinstalled the game, copied over the backups but every-time the game launched it reset the UDKGame.ini to defualt so i lost everything.

But luckily, changing the parameters from 0 to 1 allowed for me to start at the beginning of Sector 7 again.

And funnily enough i found out the puzzle i was crashing on was the last one of the game.. haha. All good now though, thanks for your help :)
