Ran into these achievement bugs myself, when I finished the game today. So instead of having the game re-check to see if you've finished and apply all the achievements as complete, we have to play through the game again to activate them?
Not that it isn't a good game, it would just be simpler to have it do the checking to see if you've viewed the end-game rendering and apply the fix itself.
Edit: These are the achievements that won't unlock for me after finishing a playthrough:
-Sector 3, Completed
-Tough Going Part 1
-Tough Going Part 2
-Fizzicks
-Finale
I don't see the "Find the Developers" in the list of Steam achievements for the game.

Thanks for clarifying this, i was wondering which puzzle was the hardest in the game if i had not unlocked it despite finishing everything.

I don't see the "Find the Developers" in the list of Steam achievements for the game.
That's because it's a hidden achievement. If you look on the Global Achievements page, you should see it there.

Will the achievements unlock automatically (so for instance if the game notices I'm on level five the game will know I've completed level three before and I'll get the achievement), or will we have to replay in order to get them?

On the bright side, having completed it and buffed my QUBE-Fu, Sector 3 takes about 20 seconds to beat a second time. Don't much fancy some of the Sector 7 puzzles again, mind.

sector 3 takes about 10 minutes to complete, if you already done it before, no issue.

I'm aware of that, no problem there. But the other ones are a bit more complicated. I'm at sector 5 now, I think, and I'm wondering if I should play further now or wait for the patch.

You will need to replay the levels in order to get the locked achievements.

Hi! I'm through most of the game (just got to the part where you need to move around 2 big blocks and 2 little ones) and none of the achievements have unlocked for me. It's no big deal, I don't care much about achievements, but it's a bit odd.

Some achievements in the game are broken right now. We will be releasing an update soon to fix these issues.

Out of curiosity, what is the hardest puzzle in the game.
I assume the Fizzicks achievement refers to the one where you have to break the glass?

We are being patient, it's just that achievements not registering is something other developers fix in their games within a day or two. And until they are fixed, I'm not playing QUBE. I'm aware that might seem childish to some players, but achievements matter to me and I don't want to play this game twice if I can help it. I have many many other games in my Steam library...

Can't be that difficult to fix broken achievements. The only thing that would be better would be additional content on the way (expansion/dlc), which I *think* may be on the way.

I suppose the achievements fix is being held back for one big patch, which is a pity. What's stopping the devs from releasing a small patch now and another in, say, a few days' time?

It could be due to Steam too, look at the amount of games and updates that are probably released on a daily basis, fitting the patch into that time frame might not be the best thing so rather than rush to meet a deadline they can just pick another date with a patch that fixes more things ;)

You're probably right, although my understanding, from listening to devs of other games, is that a patch is uploaded to Valve HQ and they decide on the scheduling. Patches - even those that mean downloading a file as big as the original game (such as the recent ones for Nation Red)- are usually passed on to the consumer pretty quickly.

Yeah, this did take a bit longer than I had anticipated. I'm worried that if it doesn't show up soon I'll have a hard time getting back into the game (since I was already finding it difficult when I decided to put it on hold).

My feelings exactly. I put the game on hold midway through Sector Six, and although I was enjoying it I'm no longer in a rush to get back to it. I thought I'd be putting it down for a few days, not weeks. :(

Think about it guys. Achievements via Steam are not only the problem of the developers, but Steam's problems as well. It may not just be that the developers are lazy or too busy or trying to wait for a better release, perhaps it's the fact that Steam has millions of games and users to manage. They have a lot on their plate. If you want to try and complain about something, complain about how long it's taking to get a Diablo 3 or how long of a gap there was from Sonic 3 to Sonic 4. Those are entirely the developers problem. So give them a break. I'm sure they're trying.

Dev's didn't implement steam achievements right in their game, probably something to do with the triggers that hand out the achievements, but that's their problem(and the problem of those who really don't want to play without all the achievements). I'm sure they are trying as well, but trying to deflect the blame from them doesn't really help anyone, not even them.
I still wanna know what the hardest puzzle in the game was. Was it the one with the four cubes, because I hated that one.

Some people (myself included) don't like redoing things that should have awarded achievements. I'm more patient about it than others since my game backlog is massive. Other people might respond better if there were more developer updates, though (even just a "we're still working on it").

Mental trap. I've posted in another thread that it can feel like you're being punished and have to redo the game in order to "get credit" for doing it. This is why I sometimes prefer games without any achievements, because it means that if I play and my dodgy network goes down, I don't have to worry about suddenly not getting an achievement that is difficult to get and having to do everything over again.
Even if I were to go back and replay a game for fun (which I often do), "needing" to do it for an achievement that should have triggered is mentally grating, so I often will stop playing games that have broken achievements or while my network is misbehaving until they are fixed or my network behaves better.

Which is short-sighted of them because word will get round that the game is broken and the devs aren't being supportive.
