Hi there!
As you may have noticed, English is the only language available. :mad:
If you would like to play the game with German text, there is a way:
first download the German language pack from
http://www.age-community.net/forum/jgs_db.php?action=show&eintrags_id=43&katid=36&sid=56ca815ad94a6c8f63e7f382a4dc99b9
after that edit the stringtable.xml included in the download:
the first three lines should look like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16"?>
<StringTable version="3">
<Language name="English">
save the stringtable.xml
copy the stringtable.xml to:
...\Steam\steamapps\common\Age Of Empires 3\bin\data\
save or rename the original file first!
play the maingame with German text! Enjoy!
to play the Addons in German, replace the stringtablex.xml and the stringtabley.xml in the same directory with an edited stringtable. (of course keep the names of the original files)
first lines of stringtablex.xml:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16"?>
<StringTable version="9">
<Language name="English">
first lines of stringtabley.xml:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16"?>
<StringTable version="8">
<Language name="English">
Have fun - maybe there are some bugs in the translation, but i found none till yet.
