Sooo.. here's the deal.

I picked up this game 1 and a half day ago, (right after it went off sale again) I try installing it and BOOM there we go. Connection timeout... Every time. I tried changing my download server, tried to reconnect to my internet. But the thing is that i can download any other game. Only AoE III is having issues.

And i do know that its not supported by Windows 7 (it kinda is)
but had the CD version earlier and i WORKED with my computer. But that's off topic.

And yes i try throwing an message to steam support. And EVEN though i write specific in the text that it is NOT my CD-Key I'm having problems with I'm getting that standard message that they know there's issues with the CD-Key's and they are gonna fix it..... :(

Thank you guy's/girl's hope you can help me.

Hi,

Try disabling your third party internet security and or Windows Firewall.

Then try to start the download again.

Same here, wife bought it.. and after clicking install it keeps timing out. Hopefully fix is being worked. Maybe Server overload?

Try to use Berlin, Germany as download server. It worked for me perfectly so if it doesnt work for you from this location, it has to be an account problem. Then just contact Steam Support..

Steam support is the correct route to go for these types of issues.
