Okay so I've gotten pretty far into the game already I'm in section six. So I decided to take a break I can't remember but I'm walking into another puzzle where I'm allowed to change the colour of the blocks and there is a glass platform under me. (first time I've seen this) anyway so the game checkpoints in the area between the previous one and the one I'm up to now, I stoped playing and only recently went back to it. Everytime I click continue the game crashes. I really don't want to have to do all of section 6 again I would like it if this was looked at, so hopefully it gets patched and I can continue from where I was up to and not go the whole way back and start again
thank you

Does it give you any error windows? Have you tried backing up your save and reinstalling or verifying cache? You can also try launching the game from the .exe to see if that may help instead of running with the "play" button on the Steam client.

I'm having the same problem. I'm further on in the game, but now the game crashes every time I start it. I get dropped in the save point, the animations start for about a second and then it crashes. After all the trouble I went through to get the thing to run at all, I'm just a little annoyed right now...
And no, there are no error messages or popups apart from Windows telling me the program I was using has stopped working and will be closed. I tried running the .NET4 install from the game's installation files again but it made absolutely no difference.

I had the same issue, i got to that puzzle.. decided to take a break and when i came back to 'continue game' it crashed every single time.
What i did was i went into the UDKGame.ini file located in: D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\qube\UDKGame\Config
Inside the .ini file there should be a section of code where it has LevelUnlocked = x, all the sector's you've unlocked will be set to 1, all those unlocked will be set at 0. In total there's seven lines of 'LevelUnlocked' each representing in sequential order 1-7 sectors, if you set them all to 1 (most of them should already be unlocked) you can start from the beginning of Sector 7.
You will have to re-do the earlier puzzles in Sector 7, but at least you wont have to re-do Sector 6 which in my opinion is the most frustrating sector with the magnet puzzles.

When you guys say "crash" do you mean fall off the map? My save file puts me in the map but I immediately clip through the floor... Moreover, since I didn't finish sector six it's not unlocked in the sector select screen and there isn't a previous save I can go to :( I love this game, but not allowing me to revert to older saves is bad design imo.

Had some glitching, restarted and the game now crashes as described above (QUBE.exe has stopped working) :(

Verified, defragged, still no dice.
edit: unlocked sector 7 in the config and completed the game. All in all it was great, but IMO in a puzzle game you should always be able to get beyond any completed items rather than entire sections. Solving puzzles is a buzz but repeating them is generally a chore. Just my 2cents...

I sent a mail to the devs, they said they "re-created the issue" and they're "looking for a solution".
