problem: "could not initialize directx adapter"

hi,

I downloaded lately Mata Hari on my desktop system and when I start the game I get the error "could not initialize directx adapter, invalid call".

I tried to edit manually the Config.xml:

Fullscreen="1"
Width="1920"
Height="1080"
LowRes="0"
RefreshRate="60"
AutoConfig="0"
Window="0"/>

But the same problem. Could be the problem that I run my desktop in eyefinity mode?

I have the same issue, using windows 7 64 bit and AMD radeon HD 5670, anyone have a solution to this?

Hello, i have the same issue, I was first getting the "download suspended problem" so whent to a friends, logged into my account through their computer, downloaded > installed > played > backedup the game > moved it onto a memory stick.

it played the first time i installed on my machine, doesn't play now, i get the same error message. tryed reinstalling via backup, without success :/ any solutions ?

Same problem here... I am running it on my laptop, and I have both an integrated Intel graphic card and a Nvidia GT540M, and I get the same "invalid call" error no matter what graphic card I use.
