Installation Issues

I got the total war pack as a present and it won't let me install kingdoms, it keeps saying connection timed out i'm not sure if its to do with the fact that medieval 2 wont work either and if possible can someone explain what's happening and if the problem will be fixed by steam or will i have to do it manually?.

I'm having the same issue here, can't download either M2TW and M2TW:K, connection timed out...

Anyone know a fix?

well I feel better knowing it's not just me
I'm trying to install all 300 or so of my games and now I'm stuck on M
medieval is installed fine
kingdoms just times out... :confused:;):(:o

I bougth this game yestarday and doesnt work....

Yep...same thing for me...times out on install...bought the pack that has both the medieval 2 game as well as the expansion and the expansion just does not want to download for some reason

2nd game in 3 days I have had an issue with (last game was missing a dlc pack but steam did end up fixing it in the end)...and this is the only two times I have ever had an issue with any purchases in all the years I have been on steam.

Hopefully this will be fixed sooner rather than later

Disregard my last statement about it not being able to download...that seemed to have fixed itself...I guess I had too many downloads trying to go at one time

My only issue now is that the launcher itself for kingdoms won't stop running in the background even after the game itself has started (and stopped which is extra weird)...I have to control alt delete to turn the launcher off manually for some reason...can't even exit steam unless I do this
