failed to verify 11.8 file

The game keeps crashing on me and every time I try to validate the files it fails on an 11.8 mg file over and over again. is any one else getting this. The weird thing is is that I played through the game, beat it, absolutely love this game and now I can not play it since it appears this file keeps corrupting, even with out the game running, if I just keep validating the files after the download, it just keeps failing. Steam Issue????

must be a steam thing, same thing happens to me, but happens in select other games too, if the game is working well i don't really worry

The valiadation tool does not only replace files that are corrupted, but also files it could not read.

My games runs fine and after checking the files i had to download this same 11.8Mb file. This does not seem to be the problem.

Have you changed anything since your playthrough?

yeah, I went from a radeon 4890 to an Nvidia 560 Ti. drivers are completely up to date. I am having no issues with any other game, that's what is making this very mind boggling
