Ok
thats not the 1st time that the questions is asked.
But i will ask it anyway.
i'm running a dedicated server on my computer. And then when i join it, The server is laggin like my mom.
Is there a way to get a nice ping without lagging.
On my server, Mani-mod is install.

You cannot play on your own server if the server is running from the machine you are playing on.
In otherwords you need 2 computers, does not matter how much RAM how fast the CPU is, time and time again it has been said.
For some reason it lags the server out. There is nothing you can do about it, unless you setup a second computer JUST FOR THE SERVER.

hey, charlie99x i had the same problem.
To start a Server from your Windows, you don't need to start it with CMD.
Try this, Start your Server C:\srcds\srcds.exe
OK, don't join your server yet.
After you have started your srcds.exe
press CTRL+ALT+DEL >> go to Procceses >> look for srcds.exe
right click on it >> Priority >> and set it to HIGH.
Well that's it, now join your server.
If you wanna start your server from CMD you will need to use this command:
start /high /wait srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +map de_dust -maxplayers 16
Hope this helps...
Enjoy

Damon0306:
You can run a server and play on the same computer. Just make sure you set the server to use port 27016, and NOT 27015.
