So im getting pretty pumped about this game i have a few questions though. ive already read all the FAQ on there website and forums and dont really wanna make another forum account on there website
1. if i pre-order from gamestop will i be able to activate on steam? or is it a standalone game download?
2. on this games website it pretty much says if you order from gamestop you get 2 bonuses which is what id like can anyone confirm they are giving both with the game?
3. will theses pre-order bonuses be available as DLC later on or is this a hit or miss with getting the game early or not?
4. not so much a question...but what makes valve, any game delvp think that just because they bring there game to steam it has to offer some dumb TF2 ♥♥♥♥. obviously the most played game on steam but for the rare and few people like me who dont give 2 sheets about that game i have no motivation to pre order on steam aside from the fact its registered on my account for auto updates and DLC
why cant we get items having to do with the game like every other retailer is doing.... as if i really want some hats for another game, when im willing to pay 60$ for a game that id like, you'd think we would recieve items FOR the game were buying.

1) No, requires a one time Activation on Origin Client.
2) Yes, you get all the items listed on the GameStop website.
3) So far the answer is "No," but they are looking into as a future possibility.
4) TF2 Hats = Real World Value. They can be traded for real games. So some people see that as an incentive, others are real TF2 Players and like the incentives. Personally I'll take something worth real money over an item that I will replace in a few hours.

but do i have to play TF2 like open it and get the item or is this thing where it goes to my inventory for TF2 items?
and while truth stands with your statement of replacing the bonus items in a few hours if they dont make this stuff future DLC id rather have exclusive items than trade-able tf2 stuff.
and as always thanks for the quick reply girlpower, you know you never replied to my Q as to if your preordering this or waiting to see. i do value your opinion as it seems you've done your research and like this game/have been keeping up with it. or is this something you dont want to say publicly? (which i can respect) because i really cant decide if i should risk 60$ and it flops to 40 a few weeks after release
You need to have TF2 installed for the items to show but you don't have to play it, - the items appear in your TF2 inventory in your community pages.
Go to Community in the Steam client, and under Actions to the right, select View inventory. There are seperate tabs there depending what games you have installed that use the inventory system showing the items you have available for each one - For example, I have inventory tabs for TF2, Portal2 and Steam.

yes yes i understand the inventory system.
guess a more simple question is- do i need to install 12gigs of TF2 or simply look at my TF2 INVENTORY(on my community page) after buying this game.
if i HAVE to install TF2 to even get access to the tradeable items then steam has lost a sale.
