Cant even launch the game

well i fixed it myself
i uninstalled the ubisoft game launcher from the programs list
and reinstalled the game
it seems to be working fine now

Doesn't that just install the Ubi Launcher again when you attempt to play it?

well ye
i guess it just installs a good copy of it
the one i had before was installed from splinter cell
