Street Fighter

Was never a fan of the art style in Tekken or the gameplay. I still prefer Mortal Kombat to both.

Dead or Alive, because you can spam the kick button and STILL win!

Tekken for me because those are great even when played against ai. I believe that street fighters are good too but i never really bought any. One reason is that god awful movie...

Tekken, because that was the only fighting game I played, I never had the chance to really play Street Fighter except for on the old arcade machines when I was a little boy.

Steve Fox was my favorite character to use.

My brother is so good in tekken he can hit me once, get me in the air and finish me off before i can do something against it.

Tekken. I haven't played in awhile, but some combos in Street Fighter are humanly impossible to do. How can you mash button combinations at 1/60th of a second?

I prefer Tekken's art-style and gameplay, but I can play Street Fighter on my PC, so... yeah.

Dead or Alive, because you can spam the kick button and STILL win!

When I was a child I once got to the final boss of... some version of Street Fighter II, can't remember which, by picking Balrog/M.Bison/black-boxer-dude and spamming the strong punch button. To be fair though, M.Bison/Vega/dude-in-red-military-uniform did kick my rear once I tried that with him and I didn't have more credits so that was it for me, but still.

Street Fighter.

Only because I like shouting "Shoryuken!" and "Hadouken!"

Street Fighter. I've never really played Tekken; maybe at an arcade once or something.

Both.

Streetfighter has the good looks.

Tekken has slightly more realistic fighting. (although... not anymore probably). And it doesn`t look bad.

I wonder what the crossovers will be like.

Street Fighter FTW!

Seriously, the sheer variety of character personalities, attributes, and techniques is something that is virtually unrivaled in the genre. You really have to know your character to win. Not everyone has the same sweep, same uppercut, same roundhouse, etc. The game takes a decent amount of strategy to really be good at it, and that's something I've always enjoyed about the series.

Tekken 3 for me spent many hours playing it with friends on PS1 in the late 90's.
Soul blade is good as well.

I like the Tekken style fighters much more. Combos are actually fluid moves strung together, and not wild button mashing to perform combos within combos. Yo dawg.

While I may not have gotten into Tekken itself, I love the ♥♥♥♥ out of Soul Calibur (and it's predecessor Soul Edge) which were based on the same foundation, only they included weapons instead of hand-to-hand martial arts.
