Is there Co-Op?

Hello all. I bought this game on sale, looking forward to the Co-Op levels with friends. I had a friend over, and we tried in vain to locate the local co-op option.

Does this game really have co-op? Did the steam page lie to me?
Or was it just referring to the competitive modes? I feel like I wasted money; I didn't want a singleplayer game...

Anyone else find out how to do co-op?

There's no co-op, and no online multiplayer yet. Only Local multiplayer (same computer)

Yes, it did. Sorry :( I wish the devs would look into getting that fixed, it's misleading.

As far as I can tell, most multiplayer games also have the co-op tag, even if they don't have an exclusive co-op mode. Like Nuclear Dawn, DoW2, Section 8: Prejudice, Unreal Tournament 3 and loads more. I was under the impression that it means you can play on the same team with a friend, which is why a 1v1 game like Rock of Ages doesn't have co-op, just multiplayer.

Usually the Key Features part is more explicit, like in Dustforce, no mention of actual co-op mode, but "Play against your friends with local multiplayer matches."

Thanks for the responses. I feel really ripped off.
Oh well. Game looks fun, I guess I'll play through at some point. Just sucks that I was mislead.

I have a feeling they'll add online multiplayer in a future update.

i thought there was co op too, like split screen race to the finish, knock each other off n battle your way to first. i still like the singleplayer, i think the versus is meh

That would still be competitive, not co-operative. When I want a co-op game, I'm looking for something similar to the single-player that a friend and I can beat together, not standard vs multiplayer

i meant it as two kinda modes then, was a pretty fail post from me :p

race to finish together or race trying to knock each other off. it would be nice to finish the game with a friend n not alone, they could have added in co op moves, like bouncing off each other.
