Freezing Issues

Hello,

I'm having problems with FO3 freezing on me.

Here's my spec:

Laptop model - MSI GT780DXR
Intel i7 2670QM
GeForce GTX 570m (drivers up dated)
8Gb RAM

The freezes seem to happen when I use my weapon. I got to the bit where you fire the BB gun in vault 101 and have not yet managed to kill the roach with out a freeze.

The audio continues to play but the video is frozen solid and I have to kill FO3 in task manager to get back to my desktop.

I have tried the "Multi core fix" (editing the fallout.ini file)

But it didn't work (in fact it crashed about 1 second after I loaded and I didn't even get to firing a weapon on one occasion)

Nevermind,

I had the files from an old install on a previous laptop in My Documents.

I just deleted them and it replaced them on next start up and its been working fine so far.

*edit* - It came back. I got past the BB gun training but now it's freezing as soon as I use the pistol against the first ranged enemies I encounter whilst escaping the vault.

*edit* - Ok, it seems to be sorted now (hasn't froze for a couple of hours. It seems to have been a combination of using a back up save folder inc. config file from an installation on another machine and the multi core issue.

Deleting the folder in My Documents\My games then starting the game then editing the .ini file as in the post linked above fixed the issue.
