I'm going to try the demo but if I like it should I just wait for Rebellion since it's standalone? Will there be any reason to get Trinity once Rebellion is out? Thanks!

There won't be much reason to get Trinity once Rebellion comes out since Rebellion will include all of the prior content and it will be a stand-alone affair. Heck, even people who purchased the game for full price back in 2008 along with the two expansions will still have to pay the full $40 for Rebellion (unless they got in on the very early $30 pre-order before September 31, 2011).

However, Rebellion probably won't be released until the second half of this year.

Can you you get Trinity at a price of less than $20? I'm pretty sure it's been available for $14 and even $10 in the past for certain short periods of time.

How badly do you want to play this game? How much gaming free time will you have between now and when Trinity is released? If you have 40 hours/week and you're really bored then the $20 spent on Trinity now might be well worth it.

If you're interest is online multiplayer PvP ("the real Sins game") and if you have a competitive spirit and want to be up to speed and able to crush the noobies who come online after Rebellion is released, then now might be a good time to start learning the game. (However, you will get totally slaughtered in online multiplayer PvP for your first 100 games against human players AFTER you have mastered the game in single player against AI.)

That having been said, Sins is a totally awesome game and it rocks for online multiplayer team PvP. It deserves to be as popular as Starcraft, but it is a hidden gem that has been sadly overlooked by the online multiplayer PvP RTS crowd.

Thanks for the info. I'll play the demo for now then buy Rebellion when it comes out. Currently I have Kingdoms of Amalur: reckoning and Mass Effect 3, possibly The Witcher 2 (360) and others coming up so I think it would be best to wait. I do enjoy multiplayer but I don't mind learning on Rebellion release.

Starcraft is overrated IMO. I'm also hopeful that Elemental: Fallen Enchantress will be what everyone hoped the original War of Magic would be.

Rebellion preorder is discounted by 10$ if u already have Trinity at their official webpage.

Nonetheless, THAT Rebellion from their webpage is reedemable on steam, and theyll invite u to its beta if u preorder it ; )

I cancelled my pre-order of Rebellion so that I could go with the Steam version - Steam makes life easier, honestly. At the time, Stardock personnel said that there was no Steam version pre-orderable. Has this changed? *Are* they going to allow redemption on Steam? Where did you hear this?

My next question is will Rebellion support XP? I can`t remember where, but I recall seeing only Vista and Win7 listed somewhere on an official erratta.

If it doesn't support XP then I'll be limited to playing on my laptop. I'd be very surprised if it didn't.

It can be run on XP but if you have issues with the game the only response you will get is upgrade your OS.

The game runs fine on XP. The only issue you may have is with severely old graphics drivers for really old cards.

Rebellion is XP compatible.

Why would anyone still game on XP? :x

I am far from a MS fan, but 7 is so much better than XP it's ridiculous.

Probably an unnecisary gesture.

Judging how the Beta require Steam & how this will be a Steamworks game I am pretty sure all copies of the game will activate on Steam.
