Am I missing something?

Loving the game so far but getting increasingly annoyed by small things such as my direct hit rockets dealing 50 damage but constantly getting one-shotted by other peoples rockets.

It seems to be the same with the assault rifle I have tried too. I could be sneaking behind someone, fill them with at least 5 or 6 bullets with damage numbers spraying out of them before they turn around and kill me with the same weapon and trundle off happily.

Just wondering if there is some sort of perk that exponentially increases damage output as it certainly feels that way when I'm playing :p

Maybe they're using both the body armor and the perk that either increase their damage or reduce yours.

I'm using the Big guy (slow but more hp) with body armor and one of my perk is Increased health, now I can pretend I'm a small tank. :)

Direct hit rockets doesn't deal 50 damage they deal an additional 50 damage for being an direct hit.

Even still, more often than not they still have mountains of HP left and I still get one shotted which is why I was asking what I was missing :)
