The Darkness 2 Patches... ASAP???

Hey

Heres some of the things that i would love for 2K to add/fix in The Darkness 2:


Texture issues:

triangle textures on characters if you have enabled in the Nvidia control panel under 3D Settings - use my preferance emphasizing Quality.


Fov:

Doesnt worry me i dont see the fuss but for the people that complain a nice fov option in the options menu wouldnt hurt.


Anti-aliasing:

AA option to switch off or on (x2-x16)


Ambient Occlusion:

Nice thing to turn off for some FPS boost


Motion Blur:

Add motion blur scale to the options menu or an on/off (x1-full)


Glow:

turn glow on and off


Please add a editable CFG (config) file so we as pc gamers can customize the settings a little more to push our systems that little further..


Leave a comment if you can think of anything else that you would like to add to the game or fixes.

P.S. hopefully this thread can get stickyed (sorry i couldnt think of the right term that this sentence would make sense)

A FOV option wouldn't hurt? This is a fps bieng sold on pc and thus a fov option should be standard.

i havent any other problems in the game,just everytime i start the game i have to put the res from there default 1024x768 to the res i aways play -apply it it works then,i start up again its a default i have to reajust to it again evertime i start the game?

The game itself really need a patch to fix all the problem. I hope that 2k and Digital Extreme will listen to the players. Unlike Batman Arkham City, I waited for the patch for ages.

I, for one, would like to see a FoV option, as while I was playing the Single Player, there were times I had to stop playing because I felt sick.
This is the first time such a thing happens, and I would normally be one of those who laugh at people who feel like this. I was even alright with Borderlands, but somehow this just makes me feel physically ill.

it could either be because you have a huge moniter and playing at max res or just simply playing games for hrs on end ahah in that case thats not advised.

Anyother thing id like to point out is that the system requirements aint right or just the games not very well ported because ive tried playing it on 2 systems 1 ok laptop and a pc with intel duo @ 3Ghz, 2gb ddr2 ram (lol), and a nvidia 9600GT and the game doesnt run very well on low ahah.

They need to add way more gfx options asap if they want the pc community to continue playing this game

I personally do not suffer from any crashes/bugs so far, but I ceratinly want to see more graphic options. The game at this moment feels like a cheap console port (not only because the lack of such options, also because some strange key bindings which are unchangeable, e.g. press 1 to talk...).
Plus, motion blur makes me sick.

I agreed with all of you guys.

It is a pain to get so little graphical options for the PC players to tweak.

For me, the stuttering is bad enough to take me out of the experience because this is such a fast paced game.

To be Honest, I do understand the reason why the developer set the FOV at somewhat between 60 to 75. However, I wanted the demon head stay the same. But the world FOV in 85 or higher.

If they just let us set the FOV at 85, you can see too much of the demon head.

PC is different than console. However, PC should have more options for the players. Digital Extreme should release the game soon.

Really? The OP didn't disagree with you. He said he is not affected by it but it should be patched. What more do you want. You are not going to change how companies make games anytime soon.

There have been more than enough threads devoted to this issue, why bother making more comments on yet another thread. It defies reason.

I want it fixed as much as anyone so I don't have to play the game in a window, they even said they were going to patch it (loosely stated as thus to TotalBiscuit). More thread hijacking doesn't help.

Yeah true but the more people that comment with issues on this thread may help the developers fix main bugs/issues i no theres loads about the fov thing but to be realistic i think its not the FOV that is annoying people i think its the amount of forced motion blur thats used but they should have at least given us the option to turn it off because i never use motion blur its an unrealistic option that blurs objects in the distance lol we as humans dont get that

I've tried everything in lists of crashfixes for this game but nothing works and I've seen more than enough people having the same problem. yeah i no the fov can be fixed manuelly but there shouldnt be any need for us to use such measures to do so, my pc meets the requirements and i needa play the game on the lowest res because on any other res i get 5-20 fps lol so there is a lot of work that is needed but there not doing anything about it which annoys me the most

Ive tried posting this same thread on the 2k forums and yet no response -.- ahah f they want pc gamers to play the game all they needa do is fix this lol or at least add some more gfx settings and a cfg that can be manually configured because with out this the game is dead because pc gamers really hate console ports and its not hard at all to tell if its a console port.

A way to set sensitivity as a decimal value would be good too. Sensitivity sliders are too limited and never satisfy everyone.
