Just installed: Uplay and local saves.

I just bought this game from Steam on sale last week, but before I really start to play I want to know if it will save properly without registering with Uplay. The game starts and runs fine without registering; however I don't want to play for a while and become engrossed only to find my saves don't actually save. Is registration necessary to a working local save?

If you can run it without problems in offline mode, I believe it will save fine. Just pass the first mission (they're all really short) and quit, see if it saves that.
