Massive update for MW2.

Steam is downloading such a large update that it has taken ages to get to 2% and I have paused it.
This has been in the 'don't update' mode for sometime so I didn't get my service monthly allocation used up on older games.
Can anyone help out by telling me if this really is a large, valid update because it appears to be downloading the whole game again?

Can a moderator move this to MW2 please?

That's why I asked a mod to move it when I realised my mistake.
No one bothered.

And Macchus, I don't think I'm the first to mix the two up by name.

I just purchased a new copy of Call of Duty 2 and cannot install it using Windows 7. Has anyone played this with Windows 7? Also there are several versions of this game some with 6 discs.One is collector edition and also Game of the Year
