Validating Files -> Erases Game

So for some odd reason, the game wouldn't load. Did a validation, and the game save was erased.

That might have happened because of the February 2 update, which replaced the previous single executable with 2 new ones, one for win vista/7, and another for win xp:
With the new executables, the previous save file won't work unless the player manually renames the save. In the game folder (c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\sonic the hedgehog 4 ep 1) those who have windows vista or windows 7 must rename sonic_save.dat to sonic_vis_save.dat. Most likely those who have windows xp must rename it to sonic_xp_save.dat, but since I don't have windows xp, I can't test that.
