105 MB?

Steam states the game requires 105 MB of space and I can not get it to download properly. I tried verifying files, restarting steam, logging in and out of my name, and looking at the thread titles for one related to this to no avail. How do I get the game to download normally?

I can't download it yet (says steam servers are busy), but I get the same error :/

Actually it just jumped up to 8 GB when I tried again. Maybe just the Steam servers being senile.

The "guess" that Steam makes when installing Alan Wake is wrong. You need ~8GB free.

I know it actually takes up around 8 gb but the problem is that steam won't actually let me download all those. It's only letting me download the 105 mb and then you press play and of course it doesn't work because all the files arent there.

Verify your cache. When I first installed it, Steam said there was only 108MB to download, but it figured itself out and downloaded the full cache.

I uninstalled it because I already tried the verifying cache and it didn't work. It says it's only downloading 105 mb again and I'll reverify to see if it works.

Just tried it again and it just verifies all the files and says its successful. I tried the defragmentation thing to and it didn't do anything as well.

Check your downloads list in Steam. How much is it reporting that Alan Wake is downloading?

When I press "Install game" under Alan wake it shows the black screen:

Then I hit next two times and it says that it's downloading.

I hit the downloads tab and it's downloading like any normal game would, only that its 105 mb just like it says instead of 7.5 gb.

So of course the 105 mb is done very fast and of course it doesn't work. It gives the error "This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time". After it does that I try to verify the files and they just verify successfully. Same with defragmenting it. Nothing happens it doesn't download anything more it just doesn't work.

Before I clicked install mine said 105 too. Once I started monitoring my download it said around 8 gigs.

Still need help with this issue! It's still not letting me download all the files so that I can play this game.
