If you have an SSD like me and you need more space, then you can go to Alan Wake folder (eg. X:\Steam\steamapps\common\Alan Wake\data) and inside it, delete the unnecessary language files.

I play the game in english language, so i deleted only these files :

ep999-000-cht.bin
ep999-000-cht.rmdp
ep999-000-de.bin
ep999-000-de.rmdp
ep999-000-es.bin
ep999-000-es.rmdp
ep999-000-fr.bin
ep999-000-fr.rmdp
ep999-000-it.bin
ep999-000-it.rmdp
ep999-000-jp.bin
ep999-000-jp.rmdp
ep999-000-ko.bin
ep999-000-ko.rmdp
ep999-000-pl.bin
ep999-000-pl.rmdp
ep999-000-ru.bin
ep999-000-ru.rmdp

Total : 1.25Gb

Tested the game and it works fine without them :)

If you have a mechanical drive with some empty room on it, look into Steam Mover. It works very well, and makes it very simple to move some of your games off the SSD drive or back again, and have them still be playable.

Steam doesn't even download any of those files unless you specifically change the language of the game, and even then it deletes them as soon as you change language again...
