I am currently using 285.62 driver for my GTX560M. First time i played it suddenly crashed when the camera rolled onto the lighthouse. Started playing again. After the guy dies, there's a loading that goes on forever. Sigh... I can't progress. It just keeps loading like it's doing nothing at all.

What is wrong with this game? Am i the only one experiencing this?

Your video card isn't good enough, you need to seriously consider an upgrade.

Not good enough? GTX560M is similar to GTS450 and you're telling me it can't handle Alan Wake when it handled my copy of Crysis 2 very well. lol What are you talking about? I ran the game just fine in the start. Up until i went inside a guy's cabin and a cutscene plays where he dies. After that, the loading screen goes forever. I'm playing on medium anyway with nos significant lag.

Don't bother with this guy, I run this game with a bit of stuttering on an Nvidia 9500 GT.

Gotta say, though, Crysis 2 is a console port. If you want to test performance go with Crysis 1. As for your specific problem, try verifying the game's files? That's really all I can think of, since I haven't seen any other reports of this type of problem.

do a steam integrity check and defrag your files, also run the game on admin as well as steam. Fixed it for me.

I ran Crysis Warhead better than Crysis 2 DX 11. Anyway, thanks. Actually i verified the game's files and then it didn't solve the problem but the second time i tried to verify, Steam downloaded something and it's all ok now. Weird why it wasn't fixed the first time i verified.
