...for GT 525m users (Dell XPS 15 users, mostly)

It doesn't run too hot. Well, it runs alright in the day but nightime scenes bring it down to a crawl even on full low settings. This is strange given that Skyrim runs on medium/high settings at 30 fps, Fear 3 at max settings 30+ fps, Star Wars: The force unleashed (which was a very poorly optimised game) Maxed out keeps an almost constant 30 fps, Kindoms of Amalur on High/medium settings keeps 45+ fps always.

I know that Remedy is a very good developer from the sounds of feedback, and I won't say this game is badly optimised. What I will say is for whatever reason, it doesn't seem to like GT 525m cards very much when compared to other ports.

Just letting you guys know!

lol, this game is very well optimized but for high end pc's. I ran at constant 60 and drop to 45-50 on night scenes and when all the crazy stuff is happening. Fastest startup to any game ive seen and extremely well optimized. I read there were some issues with the drivers for nvidia. The games you mentioned are nowhere near the graphical detail of alan wake, if anything, they are all very poor standard for pc games and dont even push an old 512 mb video card. Alan wake requires at least a 460 to run well.

Crysis 2 on "Very high" (medium) settings constant 30 fps. Just going to let you know that. Metro 2033 30fps on medium settings. Just tell me when you think of something more graphically intense than Alan Wake, and I'll tell you how I run it by comparison.

Sorry, I also think you are wrong when you say that games such as Skyrim won't "push an old 512 mb card". C'mon, you know you're talking balls there. Do any amount of research and you'll see that it's not the case.
