1) How to apply update if it makes error?
download patch manually: http://www.sendspace.com/file/smumdn
Create your own shortcut to setup.exe and edit its Target field (you can use mine for example). After all it should looks like this:
"FOLDER_WITH_SETUP.EXE\setup.exe" /f "YOUR_GAME_INSTALL_FOLDER"
run shortcut, enjoy.

Thanks you for posting this. It will help everyone a lot. I didn't know you could change the keys like that. :)

Here are a few strategy guides for the games, they are detailed and will teach you some vitals things if you wish to improve your game beyond knowing the moves. MK2 does not have a guide from what I can see, but I will also post the kodes pages, since it is great for entering codes for stages that don't show up often, if at all. UMK3 Subway for instance. Make sure to look at the arcade sections(not snes, genesis, pc, gameboy,etc).

There is an app on the ipad(maybe iphone too?) which is great for finding moves quickly and showing them on a seperate dedicated screen. It's called MK Arcade.

That simple, after you launch game, gfwl will ask you to apply patch, click yes, wait till it's download, then it will ask you to shut down game, do it. After that locate your setup.exe of your patch, usually, its there C:\Users\your accout name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Xlive\Updates and here you must locate right folder of patch, if i'm not mistaken, the end of folder is something like fa2, find it, make shortcut of it, and then click on properities, and add in first parameter box and the end of the line /f "your_mk:ak_folder_path". After that just simply launch shortcut and you'll be fine

So I tried changing the keyboard to "p2" and that didn't work. Then I changed the first set of "p2" inputs to keyboard commands and that didn't work either. Anyone know how to get player 2 on the keyboard? I just want to practice really, but I also don't want to have to download MAME or download the Kollection on my ps3.

You dont have to D/L the game for your ps3, just plug your ps3 controlers and get the motioninjoy emulator..
This is auch a great program that can emulate any ps controler to whatever you'd like.

I suppose that is my only option, seems silly to go through all that effort just so I can press start and select a specific character for the 2nd player, but I will make do. :)

nope. And i'm almost sure that this way won't work with it: movement keys remaps just in game, not in interface. I think for interface buttons remap you should edit other ini. Maybe it's in Binaries folder.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\mortal kombat arcade kollection\support" is the usual place on a 64 bit system. If you still can't find it then search your main drive for the "steam" or "mortal kombat arcade kollection" folder

Unfortunately I can't help any more, since I used a different method for fixing the patch. The one I used was just a case of copying over some files, which was much simpler. Maybe the FAQ could be updated with that second method or link to those files.

Pretty much every router uses different terms so it is hard to say. Have you searched information how to forward ports on your router?

Just slam the exact info from your router to google and usually it is easy to find guide how to do it.

You copied everything in the quotations? Silly question, but did you replace the setup.exe's folder location with your own? As in "C:\etc\etc\setup.exe" /f "C:\programfiles\steam\etc\etc"?

I downloaded the setup.exe patch, then I placed it in C:\Users\Lasse\AppData\Local\Microsoft\XLive\Updat es\57520fa2\Content

then I made shortcut of it, and in destination folder, I type in:
C:\Users\Lasse\AppData\Local\Microsoft\XLive\Updat es\57520fa2\Content\setup.exe /f D:\Steam\steamapps\common\mortal kombat arcade kollection

and then I get the nvtt.dll is missing, when I launch the shortcut.
