What would you prefer,L4D or HL2 Story continiued?

I really want to know what SPUF thinks about the 2 game series. Im not comparing them,since both are very different, but would you take HL3 or EP3 or whatever and see what will happen on the Borealis,will Alyx die/get hurt(again)...or would you rather know what happened to the L4D2 cast and will there be a familly reunion with the L4D1 cast?

tl;dr Would you take a new Half Life gamr or more of Left 4 Dead 2 storyline(No need for a sequel for this one guys,trust me...)?

l4d3 by far, mainly because i love l4d but also, i dont know why, but iv just got this bad feeling that if they do decide to do hl3 it isnt going to be very good, i say that because hl is already a great series and that tells me that with a third installment they wont try very hard. l4d3 however i can see alot going for it, they realize that they didnt do a very good job on l4d2 so they may want to aim a little hiegher, better si, MUCH better survivors, and for the love of mike a flamethrower. oh and get rid of those bloody jockeys, worst thing about l4d2.

The spitter is one of the best special infected EVER.
In the hands of a proper player (and there are guys out there with a PHD on spitting) she can be a teamkiller - given that certain conditions like a half decent team and opoortunity arises, of course.

Are you joking about these two? I've seen the spitter and boomer combo cause a whole team to wipe. Spitting into a boomed crowd while they try to beat the zombies off them. Not doing so fast enough and eventually incap. The longer you stand in the spit its damage increases. Plus spitting on a downed survivor helps the infected by more time for spawns. Or if they are lucky, even kill the incapped.

The jockey has some problems, however, with a running pounce, you can quickly stir a survivor away from the team. Sometimes make them completely fall off a ledge with no chance to grab on. Good for moving a person away from a drop area eventually leaving them with no hope of being saved. Where as if the smoker tried it, they may still be visible and shot since they can't move.

I could go on and on, but there is no bad SI, depending on the circumstances (which is why I like l4D anything can happen)

I dont see why HL2 gets so much praise, to me its just another shooter. I remember it was HL2 vs Halo 2. HL is a fun game and it is a success, but if hl3 comes out, I think it would die because of the hardcore fans not liking it to their standards.

But maybe there wont be a HL3. I'd rather have a cliffhanger than an actual ending, that way you had to think, oh what happens next?

In the time since Ep2, two Left 4 Deads have been developed and released, TF2 has gone free to play with countless new content added, Portal 2 has been developed and released, DOTA 2 is under development, and CS: GO is under development.

I say EP3 because EP2 lefts us with a cliffhanger, and EP3 should follow on from that.

L4D3 as long as it doesn't turn into a kiddie shooter with levels and perks. Have it be maybe about the military/police during the early stages of the infection. It could maybe even have the 3 team vs mode (survivors, military, infected) that people have mentioned. One of the 3 team maps could be like parish finale, but the 2 human teams start on both sides of the bridge and have to make it to a helicopter that lands in the middle. There would only be room for 4 on the helicopter 8) Have the end movie showing the ones left screaming NOOOOOOOOOO!!! as an unlimited horde + tank is coming in....

You never played Half-Life, did you? The latest game, Half-Life 2: Episode Two ended in a cliffhanger. It demands for a continuation.

Me three. Left 4 Dead games are good... but Half Life came first, and it is what got VALVe where they are today. They must continue the saga. And I mean continue it proper. A full-fledged single player campaign... if they want to throw in some kind of co-op or something that's fine, but the single player story must remain untouched.

I agree. The next Half-Life game should remain singleplayer only. And if they want to make a coop Half-Life game, they should make a Half-Life: Decay 2, but never, and I repeat, NEVER, make a coop game starring Gordon.
