I play priest, and most of the time it's because we have no MP as people are unwilling to share MP vials.

How about stop stealing all the MP pots...

Also one word; Quite

I'll heal you if I consider it to be worth the cost of my mana. Considering classes whose MP bars aren't as important as the priest's keep stealing the pots, as mentioned, that's a pretty high standard to beat in order for me to actually heal you.

My survival is much more important to me than yours.

Or maybe stop getting hit so much?

But if priests have it bad, try playing a necro. People constantly calling for heals with not a mob in sight and when you go over to cast on some, he just runs away from you wasting MP on nothing. And then they ask for healing again.

On 'Quiet': Don't expect a heal in Oryx's Castle. Nothing hits very hard in there apart from Brutes anyway.

I had a new archer earlier. I gave a priest a mana pot and he was so grateful that he would teleport to me to heal whenever I asked.

There's no reason to hoard mana pots if you're just going to die without heals anyway...

I stopped playing healing classes all together because people dont seem to get the concept of being Out of freaking mana, and everyone steals all the darn mana pots for classes that dont need them as much.

I say learn to freaking dodge, second, play a freaking priest yourself and see if you can keep up healing for a hour without getting annoyed at peoples complaints about you not doing your job.

Alright, fine. I wasn't aware people are so grabby about MP potions. I've been playing a Wizard for the better part of my RotMG experience and only ever have one MP potion in my inventory... which rarely gets used. I see no reason to have more than that unless you play a class that relies heavily on MP potions... like Priests.

I guess the term Team Work doesn't mean a lot to most people in this game.

Indeed...

Beside, how do you know when/how to heal in a mob of peoples running in every directions and having only the red-blinking to tell you someone is low on health...

An HP bar over (or under) every players should be a minimum...

As for the MP grabbing, I suspect most ppl loot without checking, because the game is so freaking fast and the fear of losing a good loot to someone else cuz you're not quick enough... Not good reasons, but still it happens...

HP bars over everyone would be annoying as hell for all non-priests

what they need is foryour character to have more than two color states

normal=anything
blinking = i'm a second away from death and by the time you notice I'm probably already dead

they need at least one more color, orange, where you are at 3oish% health left, so the healer can get a better idea of where characters are at health wise

Nothing is more annoying when im trying to solo a god then when some random player runs up to me shouting "HP" with a massive train of angry gods behind him. Keep in mind most players are priests because of their amazing survivability not because they want to be your pocket jesus. With that said use potions or your nexus button next time

Not to mention that in an uncoordinated team, priests tend to all use their heal spells all at the same time on the same person who just said "HP" a second ago, making it so every priest is waiting for mana to come back up.

I'm annoyed even if they don't shout "HP". Trying to solo a god or two, someone ports into me and thinks I'm all amazing because I'm soloing and runs off to kite me 1905173405 more gods.

I'm even more annoyed when someone does that without mobs nearby when you're a necromancer. "HP!" Yeah? From what mob?

Or when someone comes up to you in Godlands while you're a paladin and asks for HP, then runs off thinking he's invincible, then he dies and sends you a tell from a different character saying that you suck for whatever reason.

Yeah, this game frustrates the hell out of me. :D

This is a common complaint, but really a poor one.

Every class has an ability. This ability is to make YOUR class competitive for YOU and help you play the game.

It is not the priest's duty to heal others; it is the privilege of others to catch a free heal from the priest as he heals himself.

It seems the design choice for the game... Every man for himself and lets Zerg the bosses the best we can with the classes we have...

We need to let go of the strict Tank/DPS/Healer mechanic we used so often these days...

But IMHO it's exactly what makes this game interesting...

I agree.

There is a sort of self-organization that happens when players know their class strengths, even if it's not optimal organization.

Wizards and Sorcerers know to blast their AoE's when add mobs spawn. Rogues know when to cloak and break off from the group to get some opportune shots in. Archers know when's a good time to cast a super quiver'd arrow. Warriors and Paladins (hopefully) realize the best time to give their group Berserker and Seal buffs.

And Priests eventually learn when best to pop their heals and are observant enough to wait when another Priest has already topped off the group.

The chaos in group play is precisely what makes this game fun, that is until you get the stasis-happy Mystic that keeps freezing everything at the least opportune moments...
