There is still hope, Warner is calling the shot on this one, and they are gauging interest about it if DSO is right...

I don't have a console and my PC is my sole gaming platform. But not to worry. I'm purchasing a PS Vita and will get MK9 for it as soon as it gets released. Playing it on a portable device is better than not being able to play it at all.;)

Of course there is a hope, and probably, they will release it, and I will try to proof my words.
If ED Boon was negative on PC market, then, he would say "We will not release it", or he will totally ignore completly tweets to him with PC-tag on it, but, as we can see, he's actually answering for PC-tag tweets for once in month, that means that they didnt actually sure, if they will release it or not, they're still thinking and looking forward to PC market.
Thats why ED replying to these tweets with a troll-mark on it, he's just dont know for sure, but there's a hope, because at least he's replying to PC-tag tweets.
Another thing is WB released a completed editions for consoles, and when they will got their limits from console, they would probably want more money, so they will release it to PC at the summer of the year I think, to gain more money. NetherRealm is not doing that kind of plans, if WB will say "do it", they will do it, even if they don't want to (Look at MK:AK on PC)
And last thing: They released MK:AK on PC, it's like expirement for them, to see how much will it sell, so now guys, we can only show them, that we're actually interested in MK, if people will buy it, so, please, show support.
My 5 cents.

I doubt Ed Boon has much say over whether a game will be released for a certain platform or not. When the company started doing badly, WB came in and bought them, I think. So now, it is up to WB to decide what gets released and when.

Ed Boon doesn't like PC platform for gaming. He may very well be a genius programmer working on PC for 20 years, for him playing on PC is ♥♥♥♥. Sad...

He said same about MAC apple store - "No current plans". I guess, keyword is "current", maybe they will port it later?
