I pre-ordered Rayman origins and got the free Rayman 2 the Great Escape complimentary, but whenever I start up the game the graphics are so awful that I cant read anything and the rest of the game is unplayable. The only in game option I can change is the resolution (which i think is set on low) but when I change it to medium or high the game crashes. And the only options I can change outside the game is the resolution, and I have tried most of the resolution options and it makes no difference.
Any1 have a similar problem or know how to fix this?

I have that problem too. When I started playing this game it crashed when I tried to change the resolution and it also crashed as soon as I was about to start playing the first level, The Woods of Light.

Mine Works Perfectly.

Here are my specs

Windows XP 32-Bit
RadeonHD 6800 Series
2.93Ghz Quadcore Processor
1024x768 Desktop Resolution
3Gb Ram

Try running it as Admin on Windows 7 or in Compatibility mode

It is a 90's game maybe it just doesn't work well with 7

I remember this game on PSX when it was released as I bought it and whilst the ctontrol choices by Ubisoft are a little strange the rest of the game is exactly hw I remember it.

I was having the same problem. Setting to compatibility mode or running as admin wasn't working. So I was reading the README and found this: "Resolutions
The game can be played in three different resolutions
LOW RESOLUTION (640x480)
MEDIUM RESOLUTION (800x600)
HIGH RESOLUTION (1024x768)"
I changed the resolution in the Steam config to 1024x768 and when I ran the game again it automatically changed in the options menu to HIGH.

Launch the graphics configuration and make sure you change the driver to your GPU. Your GPU isn't the default and I'd imagine this would cause some pretty severe graphical issues. Hope this helps.

Well I have tried to make the game use my GPU, but it doesn't seem like the game detects it. Well I guess it's because I'm using a laptop and the reason it doesn't detect it is because the game wasn't designed for laptops back then. It is really frustrating it doesn't work as it should. Perhaps I should get the GOG version.

Is there a big difference in texture quality using the GPU because lets face it. Its a 90's game how much better quality can it get from the default to the GPU
