Ok so problem with dod today?
dod:s was terrible and drove a lot of noobies directly to source thus pretty much killing dod.
Servers full of bots.
Servers playing bad custom maps.
Bad mods.
I know there are still some die hard and loyal dod players out there who are you?
Im looking to work with you!
How offen do you play?
Ive bought an amazing high proformance CHI,IL 32 man DoD public server.
I'd like to make this server a happening spot no bots no bad customs etc etc.
My mission is to find some players willing to help.
Im willing to provide server admin/rcon to the right people.
In hope to keep a good community server running.
Do you love dod and dont want to see it die off?
A good community pub with no bad custom maps or silly mods bad clans rules. just plain old dod.
Contact me! thanks

Just so you know, about them noobies.
My 8 year old brother, has a really old IBM laptop, so old source games will not run. So I bought him CS 1.6, Condition Zero and DoD, on DoD even at the age of 8, he is always middle top score board. Im proud he wont be part of the CoD generation :D

ep0xy , i have no problem with u or your server.
you just started this post saying that the game have servers full of bots , then i went to your server and i found 32 slots full of bots with ping.
You are right about is hard to fill a dod 1.3 server.
tpg league is still alive , join it if you want to play against better players than pubs.
If still want to have fun in public servers , there are a few online a populated.

I'd be interested; I've ran both retail DoD servers and 3.1b in the past. I also am trying to give Source as much of an old-DoD feel to it as I possibly can in our current server.
That said, I do not want to see DoD fade into nothing if that can be avoided. However, I have never been a standard map fan, with very few exceptions (Seg3, Oslo, Overlord, and Charlie come to mind).
Are you not running any customs at all? What about medic mod?

The competitive community for DoD is actually alive and well, we've got almost 40 teams signed up for the upcoming season of TPG (http://www.tpgleague.org/dod6/).
Nineteen Eleven (http://nineteeneleven.org/) is the original home of the DoD competitive community (clans), it originally launched in 2002, but was later absorbed into GotFrag. I relaunched the site last year to give us our own community site again. We have about 500 active members in the community, but more old players seem to stop by every day.
I know a lot of you that might come by these boards probably never knew that 1911 (http://nineteeneleven.org/) or the "competitive community" existed, but I hope you guys to check it out.

There are still some small DoD clans that get together pretty regularly to scrim. We're not pro's, but we all like to have fun.
