Not much else to say. I think playing a platformer with the keyboard is pretty silly, and I dont find a way on how to make the gamepad work.
Unless this is fixed, I will be passing on this game, which is a shame as it is a fantastic game otherwise.

+1. This kind of bug is just ununderstandable. Did they only try this game before releasing demo?
Anyway thanx to them for releasing a demo.. i won't buy it until fixed.

I have no problems with my 360 pad... Are you getting stuck at the menu screen where it says "Press Start"? Cause I noticed that start didn't work, but pressing A did.

I've sat at the title screen (as well as every other place in the demo) bashing every button on my 360 controller and it just doesn't recognize it. It even starts with 360 buttons binded but they don't work and the buttons don't even work when rebinding the controls.

Surprised face : do you have a wireless one?

Weird. I'm using a PS2 controller with X360ce (a 360 gamepad emulator) and it worked beautifully after I rebound all of the controls. My only problem is that you can't bind any buttons to pause.

The Rayman Origins Demo picked up my Logitech F310 USB Gamepad completely fine, and I was able to control everything perfectly in the game. The Gamepad is set to XInput (so it's technically an Xbox Controller in a way).

Solution to xbox 360 controller not working...Go to options controls and click on default "reset" button on player one

Make sure that your 360 controller is on before loading up the game. I was having that problem but then restarted the game with the gamepad already on and hit A and it worked.

My problem is that rayman works only with the second gamepad. If i connect two of them the second works like a charm... strange and annoying. In the config it is indeed by default 2-"command"... dunno why.

thanks for the tip on getting the official wireless 360 pads to work, I turned on the control after I started the game.

I turned control on, restarted the game, went to options, player one, reset to default and hit ok... gamepad working :)

I got, a virtual hid device on gamepads config (dunno why it was there). Rayman si the only game that did not handel that problem properly though. Here is the trick : http://new.sittinaround.com/?q=node/151

Works for me on the Xbox 360 Razer Onza without issues, but has to be plugged in prior to starting the game.

Was thinking on buying the game, but still my Xbox360 controller is not recognized by the game.

Strange enough, it works with every steam game I play, this demo is still the only one that doesnt work. I wont buy the game until I am 100% it wont happen in the full version.

make sure the controller is plugged in BEFORE you start the game.

this is true for almost ANY game that uses a controller (at least, the xbox 360 controller).

a few other games i have, have the same issue, they will only recognize the KB/mouse if the game was started up without the controller plugged-in first.

Thats right. You must connect it before you will launch the game.

Well it won't recognize my gamepad no matter what, it's a really crappy gamepad that only works with X360 controller emulators, but it works with every game nonetheless, except for this one :/ any advice?
