 Have you ever had a great idea for a mod, but the problem you have is you dont know how to make the mod? Just post your idea here. Moders can use this page to find moding ideas.

example(moders can use this) :

"Someone needs to make a mod that allows people to use Boats for water transportation, like horses, but they cant go on land."

Post any ideas you have here.

How about...

A mod that emotes Khajit ears?
For instance, they flap down & back when an enemy is on the radar or for that matter, when a Khajit enemy detects you.

Like with normal cats when they mad.
http://www.best-cat-tips.com/common_cat_behaviors.htm

Would be fun if you could also add such reactions with dialogues. =p

Basically giving them a little more cat-like traits. Instead of just humans with a cat skin.

lol, IF it`s even possible.
I`ve seen a few mods that alter the movement of uhm... "certain bodyparts".

So it should be possible to make the Khajit ears flap around as well.

:/ I just have absolutely NO idea how one would go about it.
So... I hope someone runs off with this idea. =p

I think that'd be possible, but it would require a great lot of work (and modeling expertise), not sure if anyone is able and willing to do that.

Can we have some armor mods (both skimpy and non-skimpy) that are meant for Argonians? I looked through the Steam Workshop, and I saw very few Argonian mods there. I'm a bit annoyed at how the tails just arbitrarily stick out of the back, with no reasonable way for it to really pass through. Hats/hoods should also have horn holes.

Someone suggested that I would bring my ideas here. My mod ideas would be tweaks to the NPC interactions, to make them less annoying, or to get revenge for the frustration they have already caused to you in the vanilla game. Or something like that...

-When a priest or priestess says something in the lines of "Blessings of upon you." -that blessing is actually given to you. How does it make sense to have prayers be useless, in a world where gods [I]actually are real?

-If you interrupt those annoying things that NPCs always repeat as soon as you get close by punching them in the face, they will never repeat that line again. You need to do this while they are talking, otherwise you'll get charged for assault like normal.

-You can pay 10000 gold to any bard in an inn, to make them retire and be permanently gone from the inn.

-You can Heimskr to permanently stop preaching, and he will lock himself in his house and never come back out. You can achieve the same thing by beating him up.

-If you walk past a child and it starts insulting you (like all of them do), if you beat the kid to death within a certain time limit, you can recieve a reward from the jarl. Burning the kid alive gets you a double reward.

-If you give enough money to the bums, eventually they will change to regular or fancy clothes, and their dialogue changes. Although if you do the same to the worthless unappreciative bum in Markarth, eventually you will find him in an alley dead with empty skooma bottles all around.

-If you walk past that "damn those gray-manes to oblivion" guy enough to have made him say that same thing 30 times, his wish will come true, and the gray-manes [I]are actually banished to oblivion. And he will stop saying that over and over.

-Those wandering warriors that always insult everyone... you can actually succesfully [intimidate] them, (not possible normally in any conditions) in which case they will run away and give you all their stuff. Because in every other case you would simply kill them and get their stuff anyway.

-You can steal a precious item from someone, and plant it on someone else by reverse-pickpocketing. After that, you can report the last person you did this to to any guard. There will be a new dialogue option that says: I'd like to report a crime. [Insert NPC name here] stole something from [Insert name of stolen item's original owner here]. The guard goes to take the person to jail.

Another idea.

Turn everyone in the game into Argonians. This includes NPCs, story characters, recruitable characters, and humanoid enemies (like bandits).

Sorry, I just copied above, don't know how this quote works.

Because of this huge problem many player struggle with I thought of it if it is possible to colorize the (automatic) selected text to make it better legible.
And in most situations the greyed out text is so hard to read.

Many thanks to the one who can change this to the better!

We have a Dragon right at the beginning at Helgen but then no more until the player goes to Whiterun. If you wander off and ignore the MQ you can still hear comments about Dragons, so why are they not appearing?

O/K yea I know its all governed by the 'Whiterun Quests' but I would love to see Dragons starting to appear as soon as the game starts. So thats my Mod idea, I'd guess it would need doing without touching the MQ quest if that is possible. Any thoughts on if it is possible or even wanted by anyone else other than me?

Good idea this thread, should be stickied.

My idea is:
Bodies of people / animals / monsters that you kill or you come across on your travels are rich pickings for scavengers.
So can other animals be made to interact with them like they are feeding off them somehow?.
And could bigger animals scare off the smaller ones who are in the middle of feeding.
Even things like trolls may need to feed this way sometimes.
Just a thought on making the wilderness a bit more interesting.

Sorry got another one, it is something I am trying myself. The Dragons where killed by the Blades, or at least they where supposd to be. With Dragon death loot we get odd bits of armor and stuff, why not the odd bit of Blade Armor. You know parts of a slain Blade swallowed by the Dragons from their past battles, Yuk He He.

A random funmod idea;

How about using Unrelenting force to open up any (non-sliding)door it hits?
Obviously not the locked ones..(although actually it could depend on your lockpick perks, let those be useful too for a change. It`ll save you a lockpick. =p)

Would be hillarious if you could shout the gates open in orc camps for instance.

It`s actually lore-friendly too. ^^ Accoarding to some journal I found when closing up on Alduin...

Actually thats not just a funny idea, Unrelenting Force on a locked door does make some sense. We had 'explosive entry' in FO3 using grenades or mines to blow the locks' so why not shout open a locked door?

Yes shouting open fort doors would be fun as well:)

The level cap is 81 (80 level ups) and there are 300 perks (according to what I read), so... Can someone make a mod that gives 4 perk points for every level up?

EDIT: Fixed some numbers, making my request accurate.

Okay... I'll edit my original post, but... I still want a multi-perk level up mod. I think that people will find it useful.

If someone has time, I would like a very simple mod made. Item information tells you both weight and value, but what I really want to know is if an item is worth lugging out a dungeon. Can someone please make a mod that tells you an items value per unit weight?

I've made the edits to add Blade Armor to the Heavy Armor Boss Loot types and similar to the Dragons. I've only just started testing but in theory a Boss with a Heavy Loot could have an odd piece of Blade Armor, I'm expecting similar with the Dragons. I've started a new game to see how it works out, only one strange thing so far, I am a bit suprised to find a High Elf Mage carrying a Heavy Blades Shield in her inventory?

Plus I've added some Skyforge Steel weapons as Levelled loot to start kicking in about level 8 for the daggers and going higher for the bigger weapons. If it 'feels' like it is not breaking the game balance I may move on to fine tuning it.

PS: I'm still unsure if I want to release Mods this time around, I get a bit to involved when I do and I can not handle non-constructive comments very well. If it looks to be a good Mod idea I'm more than happy for someone else to use it, just a thanks to BW will do for me.

I would like a quick travel destination for one of the doors on the roof leading to the Arch-Mage's room. I like living in there, and I'm tired of having to walk through the entire school just to get there.

Have you any knowledge of using the Creation Kit yourself? If not this idea could be a quite nice one to have a go at for a first time try.

Simply you just need to get yourself (within the CK) on that roof, easiest way is to open the interior cell then use the right door to get onto the roof, then drag and drop a Map Marker from the objects window in the CK.

If you do not want to try (which is fair enough as it does not appeal to everyone) post again and we shall see what we shall see, He He

PS: Just do a search through the Workshop and Google because I have a little feeling that I might have seen something written about this somewhere?

Well, I know midas` magic mod has a spell where you could summon a player house. (basically it summons a door, you enter it).

Maybe something like that could be done for the College of Winterhold. Just make a door that connects to the Arch Mage quarter. Or maybe place a "magic gate" there to connect to it. It would fit the magical element of the College, even if there`s not much left of it.

I don't want to do it myself. I'd prefer not to create mods, in case I accidentally break something badly...

EDIT: I found it hidden in another mod in the workshop.

Well done, does it do it as you wanted? if not I have done one just in case (not tested yet) as I have not been there as yet in this game run through.

BTW: You cannot break anything with the CK, Models and Textures can cause issues that are a fiddle to sort sometimes, any minor changes like this can not do any harm. If it fails to work properlly just turn it off and no harm done, it only modifies what is in the Mod it cannot change the actual main game files at all.

This is something I want to make, but I'm not artistic enough to draw the modle for said item.

I would like to see a mod that gives me a Dwemer-style Jukebox in my home that plays music that (with instructions from the modder) lets me put my own music into the game.

I would also like to see a pocket radio I can have in my inventory that plays the same music as I walk around Skyrim.

(think of the guy with the boombox in "History of the world: part 1") awe yay!

someone needs a mod that allows you to become a dragon rider, and have the ability to name, and customize your own dragon, that fast travels like a horse, dose not kill random people, is ignored by guards, can be mounted like a horse, and auto lands when you get close to the ground.

I'm interested in two possible map mods (or pointers on how to make them using the CS):

First, ability to display on the world map the actual names of all location icons on the map. I know I can hover over an icon and see the name of that particular icon, but the ability to see the names of several locations at once (as can be seen on some online maps) can be very useful for navigation.

Second, and probably more complicated, I would like to be able to annotate the world map and each local map with comments (such as "this where i left the 5,000 gold super-duper hyper axe because it was way too heavy to carry and I want to come back and pick it up later"...). Combined with the first mod, it would really make me the king of my domain!
